Behind the making of flyd

The modlys album "Flow" was written, recorded and produced during the month of Februrary, 2010. On the february the 2nd the track "flyd" was written, or at least a sketch was outlines in renoise. This session, lasting about 70 minutes, was recorded as a screen cast and uploaded to archive.org.

So for the curious wondering how modlys' music is being made, have a peek.

The tune is started without any preconceived idea or direction, everything is being composed as you see it in the video. There are a few mistakes and some out-of-tune samples, but that's part of the game, when you're in the flow.
